Wick Hor­ti­cul­tural So­ci­ety: Bed­ding plants, com­post and gar­den req­ui­sites avail­able every Fri­day from 6.30pm7.30pm in the hut be­hind the Vil­lage Hall in Wick.

Wick & District Pen­sion­ers Club: have had a busy spring and sum­mer with vis­its to Carmarthen, Royal Mint, Glouces­ter Rail­way (and fish and chips), Brecon Canal (and cream tea). Club meet­ings have been busy with a pro­gramme of speak­ers, mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment, the cel­e­bra­tion of birthdays and the achieve­ments of mem­bers. The club is now look­ing for­ward to the au­tumn with speak­ers on grow­ing straw­ber­ries, First World War medals, wil­low weav­ing, Duf­fryn, mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment, and trips to We­stonSu­per-Mare, Wells, Carmarthen and Steam Rail­way (and cream tea) and Here­ford. The club will also spend a few days in Jer­sey in Oc­to­ber. There will be a Christ­mas Party and a birth­day cel­e­bra­tion and later a Christ­mas lunch in Porth­cawl.
