Wick Horticultural Society: Bedding plants, compost and garden requisites available every Friday from 6.30pm7.30pm in the hut behind the Village Hall in Wick.
Wick & District Pensioners Club: have had a busy spring and summer with visits to Carmarthen, Royal Mint, Gloucester Railway (and fish and chips), Brecon Canal (and cream tea). Club meetings have been busy with a programme of speakers, musical entertainment, the celebration of birthdays and the achievements of members. The club is now looking forward to the autumn with speakers on growing strawberries, First World War medals, willow weaving, Duffryn, musical entertainment, and trips to WestonSuper-Mare, Wells, Carmarthen and Steam Railway (and cream tea) and Hereford. The club will also spend a few days in Jersey in October. There will be a Christmas Party and a birthday celebration and later a Christmas lunch in Porthcawl. The club meets on Wednesdays from 2-4pm and new members are always welcome. For more information, contact George on 01656 890386.
