Chance to apply for job or get training advice at fair
JOB seekers are invited to a jobs and information fair being held on Thursday at the Bridgend Life Centre.
Organised by Bridgend County Borough Council and Job Centre Plus, the annual event in the Bowls Hall between 10am and 1pm will enable job hunters to discuss employment and volunteering opportunities with a host of local employers.
There will be a range of temporary and perma- nent vacancies available to apply for on the day, with ABMU, Bluestone Security, Careers Wales, Home Bargains, Kier Construction, Learn Direct, PD Morgan Ltd, South Wales Police and Tesco among the organisations and businesses offering opportunities, support and advice.
Officers from Bridgend County Borough Council’s HR and Bridges Into Work 2 teams will also be providing details of any vacancies within the local authority and will be on hand to advise on the range of training and assistance that is available to help school and college leavers as well as unemployed people who are looking to get back into work.
Coun Hywel Williams, deputy leader, said: “We are pleased to help provide local job seekers with expert advice and support to help them find work.”
