Box­ing Club: Nantymoel Ama­teur Box­ing Club meets ev­ery Mon­day and Wed­nes­day for a Ladies’ Box­fit, from 6pm-7pm. Cost is £4 per per­son. The club is on Betha­nia Row, Og­more Vale (en­trance is at the back on High Street op­po­site the Non-Pol Club).

Og­more Vale Com­mu­nity Tennis Club: So­cial mem­ber­ship for adults is £25, se­niors and ju­niors £15 for the year – this will give you full ac­cess to the club at any time. En­try to tour­na­ments is £5.

Cof­fee morn­ing: Christchurch Chapel Cor­bett Street, Og­more Vale hold a cof­fee morn­ing on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 28.

As well as cof­fee, there will be a cake stall, book stall, china and clothes stalls and not for­get­ting a raf­fle etc. It will be from 9.30am-10.45am.

Black­mill Over-50s: Black­mill Over-50s meet at the lo­cal Com­mu­nity Cen­tre on Wed­nes­days at 7pm. New mem­bers are al­ways wel­come.

Nantymoel Knit­ters: We meet twice a week at Di­nam Close ev­ery Tues­day and Fri­day from 10am-12noon.

Duck race: The duck race is on Sun­day, Septem­ber 24. Start­ing at the Wyn­d­ham Lane Bridge at 10.30am and fin­ish­ing at the Og­more Vale fish shop bridge. Pre­sen­taion of the win­ning duck to take place at the Non-Pol at 12.30pm.

Ducks are now on sale at £2 each with all monies go­ing to lo­cal char­i­ties. Ducks can be bought from Ann Collins, Lor­raine Nutt, Stephanie Cook, Mar­garet Lloyd and the Non-Pol Club.

There was a meet­ing at the Non-Pol club held on Mon­day re­gard­ing this day. Also if there is any­one that will be will­ing to help col­lect the ducks from the wa­ter at the Og­more Bridge please con­tact Ann Collins, give your name to the club so it can be passed on to her or come to the meet­ing.

Ar­chive Project: Dr Mary Gill­ham, who was a mem­ber of the Glam­or­gan Her­itage Coast, recorded many as­pects of the lo­cal coun­try­side, iden­ti­fy­ing plants and an­i­mals and tak­ing pho­to­graphs, which are be­ing digi­tised by the South East Wales Bio­di­ver­sity Records Cen­tre. Some of her books are avail­able from the Her­itage Coast Cen­tre, Dun­raven Bay.

Ewenny Fes­ti­val: The 20th An­niver­sary Con­cert on Thurs­day, Septem­ber 28, from 7.30pm at Ewenny Pri­ory. Tick­ets cost £10.
