YOUNG Joshua Goode fired 40 points last Satur­day off a 12 hand­i­cap to win a Yel­low Box Stable­ford tour­na­ment at South­ern­down.

A birdie on the par-five 13th hole al­lied to eight pars did the trick for him, and he had three points in hand over Christo­pher Em­bling rued a no score on the 13th hole af­ter match­ing par on nine oc­ca­sions.

Eleven pars was on the par 36 points card of B N Radley while Frank Brad­shaw holed out for two on the 14th green hav­ing pre­vi­ously shot birdies on the first, sixth and eighth holes on his way to also match­ing par.

Jamie Ked­dle also got a two – his was also reg­is­tered on the 14th hole – and he got 35 points along with Bar­rie Goode, Jon Goldswor­thy and Jeremy Martin Smith who all fin­ished one point ahead of Ja­son Jenk­ins.

Di­vi­sion Two was won by Al­lan Jenk­ins, who signed for 37 points, to fin­ish in one point in front of three players - Gareth Parry, R H Thomas and Christo­pher Rees.

In the Ladies sec­tion, Di­ana Chinn last week shot 93-20-73 to win a Septem­ber Medal com­pe­ti­tion at South­ern­down.

Her win­ning round con­tained four pars while run­ner-up Sally Bryant
