Daughter and dad seek home
STAFF at Dogs Trust Bridgend are looking for a special new home for an elderly and partially deaf dad and daughter duo.
The two Terriers, 15-year-old Eddie and 12-year-old Poppy arrived at the Pen-y-Fai rehoming centre after their owner became ill.
With a combined human age of 190, these loving OADs (old age dogs) are eagerly awaiting a second chance at happiness in a forever home where they can spend their twilight years.
Despite being partially deaf, and Eddie losing his sight, the pair are out to prove that age is just a number as they are both active dogs who love their walks and a trot around off lead.
Angela Wetherall, rehoming centre manager at Dogs Trust Bridgend, said: “We would love to see Eddie and Poppy rehomed together so they can enjoy their twilight years with a loving fam- ily. Despite being a mature pair, they still have a lot of love to give and would make the perfect companions for a loving family.”
Both dogs can live with children aged 11 and above and would love a relaxed but active home so they can still get out and about in the fresh air. They can be left for up to four hours but this would need to be built up gradually whilst they settle in.
