A HEARTBROKEN community has rallied round to raise thousands of pounds for the family of two baby triplets who died in a “tragic accident”.

The five-month-old baby boys, named online as Noah and Charlie, were found dead at a home in Bridgend on Saturday morning.

The third brother is believed to be unhurt.

An online donation page has been set up by Siobhan Boyd, who described herself as the godmother of the triplets, and more than £7,000 had been raised by Tuesday lunchtime.

Ms Boyd said she had wanted to raise £5,000 to “take the financial stress off Sarah” – the boys’ mother.

She wrote: “Sadly this morning (Saturday) two of my beautiful godsons passed away. I’m trying to raise money for their mother to help with the costs of flowers, etc.

“If anybody would like to help hopefully we can raise enough to take the financial stress off Sarah at this difficult time. Thank you all for reading xxx.”

Emergency services were called at around 10.05am to the address in the Wildmill area. Police have said there are no suspicious circumstances around the boys’ deaths.

A police spokesman said: “The five-monthold children were conveyed to hospital where tragically they were later pronounced deceased. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the deaths which are being treated as a tragic accident”.

Tributes have also been paid to the boys and condolences sent to their family.

Lee Ann Richards wrote: “Thoughts are with the family at this sad time, hope you raise the amount and more needed to give these angels a send off to be proud of xxx”

Paige Plant added: “This is so sad I actually can’t believe it. I’m so sorry for the loss of those beautiful little angels.

“My thoughts and love go towards all the people that are distraught because of this incident”.

Susan Stevens added: “Rest in peace little angels, our thoughts are with your family, love and hugs to you all x x x.”
