Charity reveals 20th anniversary events
PORTHCAWL charity Sustainable Wales has announced how it will be celebrating its 20th anniversary.
The ‘Counterpoint’ talks feature leading speakers, all experts in their fields.
The three talks take place at the Green Room, 5, James Street, Porthcawl CF36 3BG.
On Friday, October 13 at 8pm Professor Allan Williams will give a talk on marine litter and the problem with the breakdown of plastics.
On Friday, October 27 at 8pm Professor Merryn Hutchings of London Metropolitan University is set to deliver a talk entitled ‘Are schools now exam factories? What are we doing to children’s education?’
On Friday, November 3, Kevin Sinnott discusses his art and the extraordinary gallery he has created in Pontycymmer.
The celebrations culminate at the Stage Door, Grand Pavilion, Thursdaym November 16, between 6.30pm and10pm.
There will be music and poetry and a performance by Porthcawl’s own ‘One Time Alive’, launching their third album, ‘Red Shift’.
