Don’t for­get flu jab

HEALTH chiefs have is­sued their an­nual re­minder about the flu vac­ci­na­tion.

They are ap­peal­ing to those who are very young, over 65, preg­nant or over six months old with an ex­ist­ing ill­ness or health con­di­tion such as asthma, di­a­betes or heart dis­ease to have their free flu vac­ci­na­tion.

ABMU health board’s direc­tor of pub­lic health, Dr San­dra Hus­bands, said flu can be dan­ger­ous and even life-threat­en­ing for those with un­der­ly­ing con­di­tions.

Small chil­dren will get their nasal vac­cine from their GP or in school and GPs will also be run­ning
