Men’s group hand over do­na­tion to Guide Dogs

A NEWLY-FORMED men’s group has raised money which will help those with sight loss to lead more in­de­pen­dent lives.

Caerau Men’s Shed has raised £150 for Guide Dogs Wales.

Be­ing part of the Men’s Shed In­ter­na­tional or­gan­i­sa­tion, the Caerau Men’s Shed has been formed un­der the Men’s Shed Cymru or­gan­i­sa­tion and of­fers com­pan­ion­ship while un­der­tak­ing prac­ti­cal projects.

Guide Dog vol­un­teers Norma Clarke and hus­band Michael came along with An­gela, their lat­est dog, and ex- plained in great de­tail the cost of train­ing and how these dogs can change peo­ple’s lives.

Caerau Men’s Shed meets ev­ery Fri­day be­tween 1pm and 3pm at the Noddfa Com­mu­nity Cen­tre in Caerau, Maesteg. Men of all ages are wel­come.
