St John’s House: One of the oldest buildings in Bridgend, this 15th century house on Newcastle Hill is open free of charge on the last Saturday of each month except December.
Previously known as Church House this medieval town house, which may have offered food and shelter to travellers, is well preserved and a fascinating place to visit.
Heritage Coast: At the recent Committee Meeting it was decided to hold an open day in January with a talk and quiz for entertainment together with refreshments. Members learned of a donation in memory of Coun Tony and Mrs Faith Williams who were both involved with the Heritage Coast from the beginning and for whom a memorial is planned.
Golden Wedding: Best wishes to David and Janet Goldsworthy of Southerndown who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends on Saturday, September 23.
