The only Al­liance game to be played last week­end was in Di­vi­sion Two, and it re­sulted in a 1-0 home win for Cardiff Cos­mopoli­tan over Tynte Rovers.

This ce­mented sec­ond spot for the cap­i­tal city side, but they have played more games than their pro­mo­tion ri­vals.

Mean­while, Al­liance fol­low­ers were de­lighted to see Peny­dar­ren Boys Club march on last week­end – this time in the FAW Tro­phy quar­ter-fi­nals.

The cup-tie with Llangefni Utd was switched to the 3G sur­face at Peny­dar­ren Park in Merthyr – and it pro­duced a 2-0 Peny­dar­ren win.

Goals from Seag­ull (Porth­cawl) Sun­day League star Chris Colvin and Joshua Brog­den punched their ticket into the semi-fi­nals.

In­cred­i­bly, Peny­dar­ren had al­ready reached the J D Welsh Cup quar­ter-fi­nals – they travel to Ban­gor City next month – and are also still in the Al­liance League W J Owen Open Cup.

They are also un­beaten in the Premier Divi- re­gion will go into Pre­lim­i­nary Round Group A with teams from Greece, FYR Mace­do­nia and Swe­den.
