THE match between the South Wales PGA and Glamorgan County had to be called off last Sunday owing to a light covering of snow.

The golf course was closed all day, as the road up to the club was in a slippery and dangerous condition.

Before the “Baby Beast” hit South Wales, the latest Hanner Ffordd contest was won by B Dudley on the back of a tasty 39 Stableford points.

He built the victory around a two on the seventh hole and matched par on seven occasions.

His winning margin was by three points over Stephen Owen Thomas while C E Morris came in with a par card of 36 points.

Two players then signed for 35 points – A Gill and G Stephens – and a further point back on the scoreboard came Dr Michael Ruttley and C D Jones. teg have announced their popular Open Day Stableford tournament will be staged on August 5.
