£40m for water service

Glamorgan Gazette - - Celebrity Wellbeing -

WELSH Water has announced plans for £40m of investment over the next year on projects to benefit customers.

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, the only not-for-profit water company in Wales and England, confirmed the investment as part of its “customer dividend”, which sees the money it makes going directly back into water and wastewater services for its customers.

The investment follows financial results reports and “strong overall op- erational performance” in the past year. It also follows confirmation that the company has held average customer bills at, or below, the rate of RPI inflation for nine consecutive years.

This is in addition to the amounts the company has invested in its infrastructure over the past year, with £430m of capital investment.

The £40m will help fund extra investment in projects to benefit customers across most of Wales.
