Garw Valley Heritage Society: On Saturday, June 23, Garw Valley Heritage Society will be holding a film show of old Garw pictures at the Blaengarw Rugby Club, known as The Halfway, next to the Surgery in Pontycymer.

There will be a rolling projection of old Garw sites and buildings, many no longer here, as well as static display boards of the important institutions and events.

Admission is free, with refreshments and parking available.

This is a wonderful opportunity for older Garwites to reminisce, and for younger people to see how their parents and grandparents lived, so please come along and enjoy a trip back to the bygone days of the valley.

Bridgend Castle Players: Bridgend Castle Players are proud to present their latest production: Caught on the Hop, a comedy in two acts, written and directed by Phil Nash.

This will be held at Bettws Community Club on Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15, with doors opening at 7pm and the show starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £6 each, including a buffet, and will be available
