Kylie and Welsh beau ‘official’ at GQ’s red-carpet ceremony
THEY’VE been seen together all summer, but pop star Kylie Minogue and Paul Solomons made their debut as a couple on the red carpet at the GQ’s Men of the Year Awards last week.
Kylie’s new beau is a proud Welshman who went to school in Caerphilly and is now creative editor of GQ, the high-end men’s style magazine where he has worked since 2001.
The former St Ilan’s Comprehensive pupil and the Aussie pop star – whose mother is from Maesteg – are said to have been dating since February, when they were introduced by mutual friends.
There have been clues that the pair – who shared pictures from the GQ Awards on Instagram looking very loved up – were an item since spring as the Spinning Around singer posted pictures from her star-studded 50th birthday bash in May.
The couple have been pictured holidaying in New York, and while she was presenting a GQ Lifetime Achievement Award to The Smiths’ Johnny Marr, she appeared to pay tribute to Solomons, 43, from the stage.
“GQ, I loved you before, but now I love you that little bit more,” she said at the Tate Modern ceremony.
Kylie is performing in Cardiff on September 24 during her Golden tour.
There are still some tickets left for her show at the Motorpoint Arena.
