It’s now four wins from five in Division Three for Welsh League newcomers Penydarren BGC who beat Treharris Athletic Western 3-1.
Chris Colvin, Alex Long and Alex Lloyd got the goals for Penydarren – who are a point behind undefeated leaders Trethomas Bluebirds.
Josh Evans netted from the spot for Treharris.
Goals from Tom Davies and Paul Evans would ultimately prove to be in a losing cause for Caerau as they went down 3-2 against Chepstow Town.
Pontyclun’s game at Trefelin BGC was abandoned only 20 minutes in with the score still goalless after an injury sustained by the referee.
Other new boys Albion Rovers drew 1-1 with Newport City while Ynysygerwn beat Tredegar Town 1-0.
The game between Treowen Stars and Panteg was postponed.
