Please measure toxic emissions

Glamorgan Gazette - - Your Views -

PLEASE can I draw the attention of borough and town councillors to Castle Street in Maesteg at 3pm each day during the school term.

The volume of traffic going towards Maesteg, Nantyffyllon and Caerau is continuous which is causing carbon emissions from all combustible engines to give off toxic emissions which is damaging and causing major respiratory problems to our youngsters and elderly.

Such scientific reports of recent date illustrate chronic asthma and major respiratory problems to our families, friends and neighbours.

Please carry out daily checks based on medical analysis to understand the effects and impact on us. I bring this to your attention with the objective of reducing the impact and improving the health of all in the Llynfi Valley and elsewhere in the borough. Steve Jones Garth
