OUR six amazing participants showed off their dancing skills at our third Strictly Kershaw’s event at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
The contestants rallied round their families and friends to get them to check out their dance moves and raise some money for the hospice.
Over the past few months they have been practising and learning their dance routines with dance partners from Madd for Dance.
Starring were Jean Stretton, leader of Oldham Council, with Marco Maestro, Chris Hamilton, Oldham Roughyeds manager, with Leah McNally, Janet Beachill from Costco’s marketing team with Jack Easton, Conor Marlin, assessor for the Premier League Football, with Emily McGowan, Andrew Donnelly, Spectrum brands operations controller, with Amy Edwards, and Nathan Murgatroyd, Roary The Roughyeds’ mascot, with Charlotte Wild.
Actresses Nicola Stephenson and Judith Barker, below, were our hosts on the evening and made sure the night ran smoothly.
The dancers were scored by our judges Gill Bussey, long term supporter, Dave Thompson, teacher at North Chadderton School, Anthony Birchall and Mandy Thompson, British National and European Latin Champions.
The competition was tough and the scores extremely close but the overall winner was Andrew Donnelly. A massive well done to him and all the contestants.
Thank you also to everyone involved who helped us bring together this spectacular event.
