Shania Twain, Manchester Arena September 22 Multi-platinum, multi-award-winning Shania Twain has announced a UK and Ireland arena tour -the first time she has toured here in 13 years. Following recent performances on Strictly Come Dancing and The One Show, as well as the Radio 2 Breakfast Show with Chris Evans, Shania feels “it’s time to get back out there and give the music a chance to live a life”, and so will embark on her first UK & Eire tour since 2004’s huge Up! Tour. She plays Manchester Arena on Saturday, September 22.

Friendsfest, Heaton Park August 3 -12 The hit FriendsFest exhibition is making a return to Manchester this year as part of a huge 2018 UK tour - with even more sets from the smash 90s sitcom. The celebration of the huge Comedy Central UK show will take place at Heaton Park from August 3 -12. New for 2018, FriendsFest will include a full scale set of Ross’s apartment - formerly home to Ugly Naked Guy.
The Magic Gang, Manchester Albert Hall September 27 After having finished one jaunt across the country last week, newly-minted Top 20 stars The Magic Gang have announced details of another UK tour. Gary Numan, Manchester Bridgewater Hall November 17 Synth-rock superstar Gary Numan has announced a new UK tour for 2018. The pioneer of electronic music will perform a string of dates during November, including a date in Manchester. The six-date stint will see the new wave icon return to the stage to Call ASH Visit www.newmarket.travel/ash16030 promote his latest album alongside supporting act The Skaparis Orchestra. The Cars singer, who turns 60 this year, is celebrating 40 years in music, along with his army of ultradevoted fans known as Numanoids.
Baxter Dury, Manchester O2 Ritz November 8 Baxter Dury has announced five more UK tour dates for 2018 - including one in Manchester. The new run of shows kicks off at Sheffield Plug on November 6, with Dury returning to Scotland to perform at Glasgow’s SWG3 the following night. He returns south to play Manchester’s O2 Ritz and Bristol’s SWX, finishing the five-date tour at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on November 10.
Blossoms, Stockport Plaza May 5 Blossoms have announced details of a new album and UK tour, including ANOTHER huge show at the Stockport Plaza. The Stockport band will perform at Stockport Plaza - and have just added a matinée show. To celebrate the new album, the Virgin EMI signed five-piece are embarking on a six-date tour, which kicks off in their hometown on May 4, before taking in Leeds, Newcastle, London, Manchester, and finishing in Norwich on May 12.
Fuzzy Sun, Manchester Soup Kitchen May 19 Stockport newcomers Fuzzy Sun have announced an intimate gig at Manchester Soup Kitchen this Spring, alongside some other huge shows. The band’s new single Want Love was mixed and produced by fellow Stockport stars, Blossoms, who they’ll be supporting on their UK tour this May. The band will also be performing at Cotton Clouds Festival in Saddleworth this August.
James Martin On the Road Again, Manchester Opera House October 11 Celebrity chef James Martin is cooking up a treat this October - serving up an 18 date immersive tour. On the Road Again sees James bringing the experiences of his hit TV shows French Adventure, American Adventure and Saturday Morning with James Martin to the live stage. James’s cooking skills will be on display, showing off his skill, speed and dexterity, and of course his usual unabashed humour.
