LUK GETS REDS BACK IN PINK!
‘There’s still more to come’ warns United’s goal hero
UNITED forward Romelu Lukaku insists the best is yet to come from him and his side after victory over Burnley in the Premier League.
The Belgian international scored both goals as Jose Mourinho’s side secured a valuable three points to end a run of two games without a win.
Despite his impressive display, Lukaku cut a frustrated figure after he squandered a number of opportunities to add even more goals. Lukaku believes his side should have scored even more at Turf Moor, but he insists supporters should expect to see a continued attacking approach from United in the coming weeks.
“We are Manchester United - this is how we need to play every game,” Lukaku told MUTV.
“I think the people will now see a different side to us, you know, everything that we work on in the last couple of weeks is coming out now.
“A lot of quick passing, lots of runs in behind, a lot of actions, and a lot of chances. We defended well, we tried to press the ball and that’s what the fans want to see.
“It doesn’t tell the story, I think we should have scored more in the first half and more in the second half. We played better than we did last season, there is much more improvement in our play and I think the fans want to see that, they want to see us to dominate, they want us to create chances, and the goals will come.”
