THE summer is over – but that’s good news for Manchester’s gig calendar as acts return from the festival circuit to fill up the city’s venues.
There are some huge names coming to Manchester to get excited about in the coming months as autumn and winter arrive.
Tickets on sale this week include Fatboy Slim, Chic and Nile Rodgers, Ozzy Osbourne, Wolf Alice and more.

Fatboy Slim, Manchester Arena February 28, 2019 FATBOY Slim is taking his In The Round Show on tour in 2019.
The legendary DJ will transform huge arenas into the UK’s biggest dancefloor with a big production, a revolving stage, rave ushers and a live smiley face experience. Fans can expect to hear his classic tracks at the unique live show including Praise You, Right Here Right Now and Eat Sleep Rave Repeat. Ozzy Osbourne, Manchester Arena February 3, 2019 OZZY Osbourne is coming to Manchester Arena as part of the two-year long No More Tours 2 which sees him celebrate his 50-year career as a solo artist and the frontman of Black Sabbath.
Since his 1970 debut with Black Sabbath the artist has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and released 11 solo studio albums.
He says: “I’ve been extremely blessed to have had two successful music careers. I’m looking at this final tour as being a huge celebration for my fans and anyone who has enjoyed my music over the past five decades.” Tickets on sale from Ticketmaster.
Chic and Nile Rodgers, Manchester Arena December 15, 2018 NILE Rodgers says: “I am delighted to announce our first ever arena tour of the UK.
Christmas is indeed coming and we are putting together the party of the festive season.”
It’ll be in support of their first album in 25 years entitled It’s About Time, due for release this month. The album features collaborations with Elton John, Lady Gaga and Emeli Sande, but fans can also expect to hear classic tracks like Le Freak, Good Times and Get Lucky. They’ll be joined by special guests including Mistajam.

Wolf Alice, Victoria Warehouse
December 18, 2018 WOLF Alice have announced two final dates for 2018, including a headline show at Manchester’s Victoria Warehouse on December 18.
The gig will see them celebrate their second studio album Visions Of A Life, which was recently shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. The group announced the news on Twitter, telling their fans: “The reception to Visions Of A Life has been extremely humbling & with an itch to write new stuff, we will be rounding off the campaign with a big hurrah & party.” Tickets on sale from Gigs and Tours, Ticketmaster and See Tickets.
John Grant, Albert Hall, February 10, 2019 AHEAD of the release of his new album Love is Magic on October 12, John Grant has announced details of his 10-date UK tour in early 2019.
His first release for more than three years, the new album is the most electronic yet for the American singersongwriter and former member of the Denverbased alternative rock band The Czars. Grant fans can get a double helping of the musician at the Albert Hall as he is set to play the venue this year too on November 3. Tickets to the new February gig go on sale today (Friday) at 10am from Gigs and Tours.
Raleigh Ritchie, Academy 2, November 24, 2018 BRITISH rapper, actor, singer-songwriter and record producer, Jacob Anderson, a.k.a. Raleigh Ritchie is bringing his live show to Manchester’s Academy 2 this November.
Famous for his role as Grey Worm in the television series Game of Thrones, the Bristol-born artist featured on a track with grime artist Stormzy in 2017 and has recently released a new single, Time in a Tree.

The Magic Numbers, Gorilla, December 3, 2018 THE London-based pop-rock band, made up of two brothers and two sisters, released their fifth studio album, Outsiders, in May this year.
Known for their unique harmonies, melodic hooks and timeless sound, The Magic Numbers will also be playing tracks from their self titled Mercurynominated debut album, including Love’s a Game and Forever Lost. The band are returning to Gorilla this December as part of their 2018 UK tour, which will also visit London, Nottingham and Glasgow. W.H Lung, Soup Kitchen, December 13, 2018 MANCHESTER locals W.H Lung are performing live at Soup Kitchen this December.
The trio will bring their infectious energy and electronic indie sound to the venue, featuring singles WANT, Inspiration! and Nothing Is.
The band will also visit Corsica Studios in London as part of the tour.
