THE sum­mer is over – but that’s good news for Manch­ester’s gig cal­en­dar as acts re­turn from the fes­ti­val cir­cuit to fill up the city’s venues.

There are some huge names com­ing to Manch­ester to get ex­cited about in the com­ing months as au­tumn and win­ter ar­rive.

Tickets on sale this week in­clude Fatboy Slim, Chic and Nile Rodgers, Ozzy Os­bourne, Wolf Alice and more.

Fatboy Slim, Manch­ester Arena Fe­bru­ary 28, 2019 FATBOY Slim is tak­ing his In The Round Show on tour in 2019.

The leg­endary DJ will trans­form huge are­nas into the UK’s big­gest dance­floor with a big pro­duc­tion, a re­volv­ing stage, rave ush­ers and a live smi­ley face ex­pe­ri­ence. Fans can ex­pect to hear his clas­sic tracks at the unique live show in­clud­ing Praise You, Right Here Right Now and Eat Sleep Rave Re­peat. Ozzy Os­bourne, Manch­ester Arena Fe­bru­ary 3, 2019 OZZY Os­bourne is com­ing to Manch­ester Arena as part of the two-year long No More Tours 2 which sees him cel­e­brate his 50-year ca­reer as a solo artist and the front­man of Black Sab­bath.

Since his 1970 de­but with Black Sab­bath the artist has sold more than 100 mil­lion records world­wide and re­leased 11 solo stu­dio al­bums.

He says: “I’ve been ex­tremely blessed to have had two suc­cess­ful mu­sic ca­reers. I’m look­ing at this fi­nal tour as be­ing a huge cel­e­bra­tion for my fans and any­one who has en­joyed my mu­sic over the past five decades.” Tickets on sale from Tick­et­mas­ter.

Chic and Nile Rodgers, Manch­ester Arena De­cem­ber 15, 2018 NILE Rodgers says: “I am de­lighted to an­nounce our first ever arena tour of the UK.

Christ­mas is in­deed com­ing and we are putting to­gether the party of the fes­tive sea­son.”

It’ll be in sup­port of their first al­bum in 25 years en­ti­tled It’s About Time, due for re­lease this month. The al­bum fea­tures col­lab­o­ra­tions with El­ton John, Lady Gaga and Emeli Sande, but fans can also ex­pect to hear clas­sic tracks like Le Freak, Good Times and Get Lucky. They’ll be joined by spe­cial guests in­clud­ing Mis­ta­jam.

Wolf Alice, Vic­to­ria Ware­house

De­cem­ber 18, 2018 WOLF Alice have an­nounced two fi­nal dates for 2018, in­clud­ing a head­line show at Manch­ester’s Vic­to­ria Ware­house on De­cem­ber 18.

The gig will see them cel­e­brate their sec­ond stu­dio al­bum Vi­sions Of A Life, which was re­cently short­listed for the Mer­cury Prize. The group an­nounced the news on Twit­ter, telling their fans: “The re­cep­tion to Vi­sions Of A Life has been ex­tremely hum­bling & with an itch to write new stuff, we will be round­ing off the cam­paign with a big hur­rah & party.” Tickets on sale from Gigs and Tours, Tick­et­mas­ter and See Tickets.

John Grant, Al­bert Hall, Fe­bru­ary 10, 2019 AHEAD of the re­lease of his new al­bum Love is Magic on Oc­to­ber 12, John Grant has an­nounced de­tails of his 10-date UK tour in early 2019.

His first re­lease for more than three years, the new al­bum is the most elec­tronic yet for the Amer­i­can singer­song­writer and for­mer mem­ber of the Den­ver­based al­ter­na­tive rock band The Czars. Grant fans can get a dou­ble help­ing of the mu­si­cian at the Al­bert Hall as he is set to play the venue this year too on Novem­ber 3. Tickets to the new Fe­bru­ary gig go on sale to­day (Fri­day) at 10am from Gigs and Tours.

Raleigh Ritchie, Acad­emy 2, Novem­ber 24, 2018 BRI­TISH rap­per, ac­tor, singer-song­writer and record pro­ducer, Ja­cob An­der­son, a.k.a. Raleigh Ritchie is bring­ing his live show to Manch­ester’s Acad­emy 2 this Novem­ber.

Fa­mous for his role as Grey Worm in the tele­vi­sion se­ries Game of Thrones, the Bris­tol-born artist fea­tured on a track with grime artist Stor­mzy in 2017 and has re­cently re­leased a new sin­gle, Time in a Tree.

He will also be per­form­ing tracks from his crit­i­cally-ac­claimed de­but al­bum You’re a Man Now, Boy. Tickets on sale from Gigs and Tours.

The Magic Num­bers, Go­rilla, De­cem­ber 3, 2018 THE Lon­don-based pop-rock band, made up of two brothers and two sis­ters, re­leased their fifth stu­dio al­bum, Out­siders, in May this year.

Known for their unique har­monies, melodic hooks and time­less sound, The Magic Num­bers will also be play­ing tracks from their self ti­tled Mer­curynom­i­nated de­but al­bum, in­clud­ing Love’s a Game and For­ever Lost. The band are re­turn­ing to Go­rilla this De­cem­ber as part of their 2018 UK tour, which will also visit Lon­don, Not­ting­ham and Glas­gow. W.H Lung, Soup Kitchen, De­cem­ber 13, 2018 MANCH­ESTER lo­cals W.H Lung are per­form­ing live at Soup Kitchen this De­cem­ber.

The trio will bring their in­fec­tious en­ergy and elec­tronic indie sound to the venue, fea­tur­ing sin­gles WANT, In­spi­ra­tion! and Noth­ing Is.

The band will also visit Cor­sica Stu­dios in Lon­don as part of the tour.
