REUBEN’S RETREAT

Glossop Advertiser - - News -

IN honour of Reuben’s 8th Birthday this week, I share a poem I wrote a while back, ‘Miss’ by Mummy... l Blonde curls Belly laugh Gorgeous tummy Loving mummy Funny dad Sunshine times Nursery rhymes Story time Cheesy grin Holidays Laughing eyes Funny ways Little brother Happy mother Eating peas Dirty Knees Super son Loved a bun And a cake Now heartache Missing you Life unfair Want you near To smell your hair To kiss your lips And cuddle you Oh Dear Reuben We MISS you Monday was lovely. So many friends sharing in sausage and mash to celebrate Reuben’s birthday.

At 12.30pm we stopped to share cake and we thank Williams Deli for their kindness when Nicky called in to choose them, thank you.

Last week was super busy as usual and we are really pleased with how well our screening went for ‘A love that never dies’. Thank you to all who came and thank you to the team at Cineworld for being so attentive and kind.

Thank-yous this week also to One Great Day and Middleton Shopping Centre, our fabulous REUnners for Reuben’s birthday at the Salford 10k, Hope Singers, Glossop Parish Church for all Saints and also those crazy individuals who muddered once again – achy legs all round, ouch!

Good luck to Charlotte Gallopp running her first ever half marathon this Sunday and to all our walkers taking on the 23km Longdendale challenge with the fabulous Bill.
