TRUMP NATIONAL LOS ANGELES

CALIFORNIA, USA

-

Trump National Los Angeles is set above the rugged California cliffs looking out over the Pacific in Rancho Palos Verdes south of the city. This Pete Dye-designed track is regarded as one of California’s finest courses, with Dye skilfully etching the course into a relatively compact plot of land and creating a clever routing where no hole plays straight uphill or straight downhill.

It is not long off the blue tees at 6,291 yards (you can play it off the blacks at 7,242 yards if you so wish!), but it is very tight, with plenty of danger just off the fairways. It is quite linksy in feel, too, with firm fairways and greens posing an additional challenge.

The large, sloping putting surfaces also place a particular emphasis on a skilled short game, but regardless of the quality of your golf, you’ll be able to lap up the spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean from your very first shot to your very last.
