FIT FOR THE FUTURE

Golf World (UK) - - The Spin -

What a brilliant couple of articles you ran in the January 2017 issue of Golf World – namely the ‘Club Golf of 2040’ and ‘The Club That’s Getting It Right, Right Now’.

The articles hit the nail squarely on the head and I think should be used by many clubs as a blueprint when setting their own long-term plans and targets.

For far too long many clubs have lived in the Dark Ages, almost afraid to acknowledge the changes happening around them in society.

What a great shame it would be if golf continued to decline and opportunities to take up the game became even more exclusive – I am sure that those of us who are genuinely passionate about the game would love to see it prosper, and have our future generations experience the beauty and camaraderie that it offers, and that originally appealed to us.

We owe it to golf to make sure that it stays in a fit shape for the future – let change for the better be our legacy.
