Danny Willett

Age 29 World ranking 14 Odds 66/1

Expert view “Danny has struggled since last year’s win. Even if he had been in better form, it’s hard to imagine him winning back to back green jackets.”

Tommy Fleetwood

Age 26 WR 35 Odds 100/1

Expert view “Another man making his debut, and Tommy is in good form and rising up the world rankings again. His lack of experience at Augusta shows in the odds.”

Justin Rose

Age 36 WR 13 Odds 28/1 Expert view “A model of consistency at Augusta, expect a fast start from Justin – he’s led three times after 18 holes – but perhaps not a charge for the green jacket.”

Lee Westwood

Age 43 WR 49 Odds 80/1 Expert view “Lee has a superb Augusta record, with eight top 11 finishes and a T2 last year. I fear he may struggle to win it but his odds of 8/1 on a top 10 finish is my pick of the bets.”

Paul Casey

Age 39 WR 15 Odds 50/1

Expert view:

“Another man whose game is very well suited to Augusta. In 10 career starts, Paul Casey has five top 11 finishes and a 4th and 6th for the last two years. I’d consider him to be a lively outside bet.”

Andy Sullivan

Age 30 WR 53 Odds: 150/1

Expert view “Missed the Masters cut by a long way in 2016 and his form was a bit in and out, yet he still managed five top six finishes on the European Tour. Long odds but I fancy Andy has a decent top 20 chance.”

Tyrrell Hatton

Age 25 WR 17 Odds 66/1

Expert view: “No debutant has won the Masters since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979. Just based on that stat alone, it will be a hard task for Hatton to win it this year.”

Chris Wood

Age 29 WR 54 Odds 200/1 Expert view “Long odds for another debutant, reflecting the fact that Wood is struggling for form a bit. He hasn’t had a top 10 anywhere since June 2016 and I struggle to see that fact changing at Augusta.”

Matt Fitzpatrick

Age 22 WR 30 Odds 80/1

Expert view: “A superb closing 67 in the final round last year saw the youngster finish 7th in only his second Masters, which augers well. I mark Matt down as another one with a lively outsider’s chance to be in the running.”

Scott Gregory

Age 22 WR Amateur Odds 1,000/1 Expert view “Qualified as British Amateur Champion and I think Scott’s main objective will be to make the cut. He has a decent chance of doing that. Our odds are 7/2.”
