Hips turn before shoulders

Golf World (UK) - - Tour Tips -

The downswing should start from the ground up, with your hips turning back to the ball before your shoulders start to turn. This enables you to drop the club into a neutral position and attack the ball from the inside. Most slicers turn their shoulders first so you get ‘over the top’ and the club swings across the ball from outside-to-in.
