THE TRUTH ABOUT MY ‘BOWED’ LEFT WRIST
A strong grip enables me to rotate my body fast through impact
A lot of top players have played golf with a bowed left wrist at the top – David Duval was pretty good playing like that and Jon Rahm’s pretty handy too. Because I set up a little open and swing slightly across the ball at impact to hit that little baby fade, I can keep the club square at impact. I have to keep my body turning in the downswing and through impact otherwise I’m going to hit a big old hook every time. Everyone says I’m shut at the top but to me I’m square because I never rotate the face off the target. The bottom line is, do what works for you. Don’t change what works.
