❖ To keep roses look­ing their best for longer, trim the stems by 2-3cm, mak­ing a di­ag­o­nal cut with a sharp knife or se­ca­teurs. Re­move any leaves that will be be­low the wa­ter line. Place the stems in a clean vase of cold wa­ter and flower food, and dis­play in a cool, light po­si­tion away from draughts and di­rect heat. Re­peat the process ev­ery two to three days.
