There’s nothing like regular exfoliation to keep your skin smooth and bright. The GHI asked a panel of over 400 women to test 21 grainy scrubs. Here’s their top three:

Elemental Herbology Macadamia & Papaya Radiance Body Scrub, £30

This left testers’ skin soft and moisturised immediately after use – a feeling that lasted all day. The particles weren’t irritating or scratchy on the skin and the panel loved the pleasant, lingering citrus scent. 93/100

Clarins Tonic Body Polisher,

The majority of testers agreed that this scrub was easy to apply and wash off, leaving skin instantly smoother and softer. Its coarse texture, a blend of natural sugars and sea salt, tackled dry areas well. Testers commented it left their bathrooms smelling spa-like! 92/100

Origins Incredible Spreadable Smoothing Ginger Body Scrub, £25

95% of our testers agreed that the scrub, made with natural sugars, left skin looking and feeling smooth, without feeling harsh, and said that they would continue to use it. They also liked its zingy citrus scent. 92/100

A panel of 433 testers tried 21 body scrubs, commenting on ease of application, scent and how skin felt after use. Testers were asked to use it two to three times over a week-long period.
