The best possible way of faking it? A smattering of faux freckles that say fresh-faced and glowy by beachy association. Until freckle pencils make it mainstream, Andrew advises choosing two eyebrow pencils, long-wear eyeliners or lip pencils in a similar colour palette to the natural colour of your eyebrows as a starting point. Dot them at random on to the areas where you’d naturally catch the sun and follow this rule: don’t go too dark, too big or too symmetrical. The more random, the more realistic – which is the aim of the game. Finally, ‘Whether you’re amping up those you already have or completely starting from scratch, use your fingers or a cotton bud to blur the edges slightly,’ adds Andrew.
