Grazia (UK) - - Playlist -

Owned by siblings Rachael and Matthew Giffod, Ekopod in Launceston, Cornwall, mixes stylish modern design with the back-to-basics simple life.

THE VIBE Chilled out escapism. Set in flower meadows across rolling Cornish hills, the off-thebeaten track site has been so cleverly laid out you’ll feel as though you have the place to yourself. Our pick of the accommodation is one of the new, larger geodomes. Futuristic from the outside, but all boutique-hotel chic inside, with super-kingsize beds, goose down duvets, cosy throws and woodburning stoves. There’s a private kitchen and bathroom, with incredible views from the tub. CHECK OUT The night sky. Located in an area recognised for its dark skies, on a clear night the stars here are truly mind-blowing. By day, make the most of the seaside location with a surfing lesson at Widemouth Bay or head to nearby Bude for some Cornish seaside charm. EAT Take plenty of provisions as there aren’t any shops nearby. For a special treat head to the twostarred Michelin Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in Port Issac, a 20-minute drive from the site. A seafoodtasting menu is served daily, with the menu dependent on the day’s catch. (£130pp, nathan-outlaw.com; advance booking is essential). THE LOWDOWN Three nights start from £330 for a pod sleeping two; ekopod.co.uk
