you need a great slip dress and a power suit ...says Racil founder Racil Chalhoub of Scarface, Brian de Palma’s 1983 gangster flick ‘ This is such an iconic movie and the dialogue is absolutely brilliant. I’m obsessed with Michelle Pfeiffer’s character, both her incredible style and her fierce attitude. Elvira Hancock is absolute perfection, she is always disco-ready and her wardrobe is a mix of slinky slip dresses and power suits, which is exactly what I love. Every look she wears is suggestive but elegant, those looks are as relevant today as they were when the movie was made in 1983. Her blue slip dress (elevator scene) and the white skirt suit are definitely two of my favourite fashion moments in cinema. The movie was a great inspiration for my S/S ’19 collection, “Don’t call me baby”.’
