About the agency. Established is the exciting new London model agency, Fraser Belk is one of the directors and he’s been in the industry for more than 12 years. He and his co-founders have worked for some of the biggest names in the business and wanted to combine the best bits of those agencies with a fresh new twist and a bespoke management style. Typical day during fashion week. “It’s full on, we have International models arriving into London for the shows, we have to make sure they are wearing the right casting outfits, their walk is perfected and that they have all their new images in their Established portfolios. On the first day of show castings, 9am can be crazy in the office with suitcases, cards and boys flying around! When we know they’re ready, we send them to see all the relevant show producers and designers and hope their card is pinned on the wall to walk that show.” How many hours do you put in? “It’s a long day! Call times start as early as 6am and fittings can go into the night. Especially now with the ease of email, our job can literally be 24 hours. It’s not been unknown that I’ve been called at 3am to get a model over to a fitting for a show for the next day. It tests your mental and physical state, so you have to be prepared! No fashion parties for us agents, I’m afraid!” One piece of clothing that keeps you comfortable and stylish “My latest piece would have to be my new black Acne jeans, they fit so perfectly, and work whether relaxed or when I have to make an effort. I have a lot of events to attend and so need something versatile, they’re great for the office with a t-shirt and my Nike’s, to my dog-toothed Gucci jacket and black Paul Smith monk straps. Comfortable and easy!” Describe your style “I’d describe my style as ‘relaxed tailored.’ I really like to look smart but casual in the process. I love men’s tailoring but oversize can work too. I have to be comfortable, but without losing style.” One spring/summer purchase “With fashion season upon us it means one thing – travel! So my investment piece this season will be a Mulberry black scotchgrain and Cognac trolly suitcase. The perfect accessory for NY, Milan and Paris. I can arrive in style while supporting British fashion!”
