Disco inferno!

GT (UK) - - MUSIC -

Cerrone is one of the greatest disco artists you might not’ve heard of. With a Best Of out, featuring a provocative 70s-era cover model bent over in arresting red tights, it’s exactly the drag-spiration behind acts like A Man To Pet and older more seasoned drag queens on East London scene. And if you’ve ever been to Horse Meat Disco, you’ve heard at least one of the tracks on this double disc disco fest. The legendary French producer’s album is 36 examples of classic disco, by one of the first pioneers of synth driven dance tracks with diva vocals and strings. His influence scans the whole electro pop scene, from performing live with La Roux to inspiring the likes of James Murphy. And that sounds like good company for us. The Best of Cerrone Productions is out now, cerrone.net, @ marccerrone
