Homes given the green light

Halifax Courier - - Nostalgia -

PLANNING permission has been granted for new houses on two sites in Calderdale.

Ten affordable houses will be built opposite numbers 2 and 4 Beechwood Avenue in Sowerby Bridge by Pennine Housing 2000.

A total of seven trees will be lost to make way for the two storey buildings.

In Todmorden, five terraced houses will be built on land at Pear Place.

The houses will include private off street parking and amenity space on the land to the south of Burnley Road.

Both of the applications were approved unanimously by a planning committee.

The committee also granted Enterprise House in Queen’s Road, Halifax, permission to widen ground floor windows and install roller shutter.
