COLOURFUL bunting and cheerful Easter bonnets made by children of Heptonstall have brightened up window displays over the school holidays.

The children’s handiwork has been on show in Hebden Bridge at Ribbon Circus, Hat Therapy and the Old Tree- house, as well as Towngate Tearooms in Heptonstall.

Foundation stage teacher Polly Williams said the boys and girls had thoroughly enjoyed their Easter activities.

“We’ve had a fantastic, creative week and the boys and girls looked forward to seeing their hard work on display,” she said.

Parents and friends were also treated to Hot Cross Buns made by the older children.

Meanwhile pupils at Scout Road Primary School in Mytholmroyd enjoyed an Easter bonnet competition and party. The prize for the best Easter bonnet went to year one pupil Luca LazzariWilliams, aged five.

Judge Dawn Carrington, of the school’s Parent, Teacher and Friends Association, said she found it difficult as so many children had put so much effort.
