Play­ers in an an­nual char­ity foot­ball match in mem­ory of young mum are all set for this year’s en­counter.

Old Pond FC will be hold­ing their char­ity foot­ball match at Lane Head re­cre­ation ground on Sun­day, May 4, kick off at 10.30am

The event is to raise money for the Car­diomy­opa­thy As­so­ci­a­tion (CMA) in mem­ory of Lisa Free­man, a young mother of two who died in Oc­to­ber 2005 from the heart con­di­tion hy­per­trophic car­diomy­opa­thy. She worked at St Joseph’s RC Pri­mary School, Brighouse.

The day be­gins with the match when the cur­rent Old Pond team will play the Old Pond leg­ends. Re­fresh­ments will be sold af­ter the game in the Old Pond pub fol­lowed by a raf­fle and com­pe­ti­tions.

CMA is the only UK based char­ity ded­i­cated to pro­vid­ing sup­port and in­for­ma­tion to fam­i­lies.
