Kids go blue for autism

A Booth­town Nurs­ery held a Blue party to raise money for a char­ity close to their hearts.

Rain­bow Cor­ner Day Nurs­ery pupils and chil­dren wore blue for the day and en­joyed a day of fun-filled ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing a bouncy cas­tle, face paint­ing, games and prizes.

The day raised money for Walk 4 Autism 2014 in an an­nual event or­gan­ised by the nurs­ery man­ager’s sis­ter-in-law Ch­eryl Jones who has raised over £20,000 for Halifax spe­cial schools, over the last four years.

Ev­ery Wed­nes­day, through­out April, Rain­bow Cor­ner nurs­ery has held autism aware­ness days.

Nurs­ery of­fice man­ager Stu­art Provan said: “It was a great day, en­joyed by all.”

Walk for Autism will be held on July 12.
