Kids go blue for autism
A Boothtown Nursery held a Blue party to raise money for a charity close to their hearts.
Rainbow Corner Day Nursery pupils and children wore blue for the day and enjoyed a day of fun-filled activities including a bouncy castle, face painting, games and prizes.
The day raised money for Walk 4 Autism 2014 in an annual event organised by the nursery manager’s sister-in-law Cheryl Jones who has raised over £20,000 for Halifax special schools, over the last four years.
Every Wednesday, throughout April, Rainbow Corner nursery has held autism awareness days.
Nursery office manager Stuart Provan said: “It was a great day, enjoyed by all.”
Walk for Autism will be held on July 12.
