Photos show a different side
A Halifax photography studio is paying tribute to the finest talents to come out of Yorkshire with a new exhibition and book including our very own golden girl Hannah Cockroft. ‘Yorkshire Made Me’ was created by Lynne Fletcher and Jennifer Robertson at Kyte Photography and includes Yorkshire greats such as theatre director Barrie Rutter, broadcasterMichael Palin, rugby star Luke Robinson, artist David Hockney and actress Dame Judi Dench.
The exhibition of 35 portraits was unveiled at Yorkshire Sculpture Park
The exhibition saw over 1,500 people enter the gallery on its opening weekend, and will run until June 1.
An accompanying book has also been published.
Only 200 have been printed and they are a coffee table type collectors book.
Yorkshire Made Me is a series of intimate photographs taken to show the real side of some of the region’s leading achievers.
Most of the photographs were taken at the sitters’ homes.
There were no stylists, no fancy lighting crew, no personal assistants, no catering vans parked on the lawn outside - just the photographer, up close and personal.
