Cy­cling films to be screened for free at Hard­cas­tle Crags

Hard­cas­tle Crags will be the set­ting for an evening of cy­cling-themed films and doc­u­men­taries.

The Tour de Cin­ema is one of nearly 50 events selected to be of­fi­cially part of York­shire Fes­ti­val 2014 and will see the free screen­ings of six films on Satur­day, May 3, be- tween 5pm and 10pm. All of the screen­ings are ei­ther uni­ver­sal or PG rated, mean­ing the whole fam­ily can en­joy the event.

Films on show will in­clude Vive le Tour, a vivid ac­count of the 1962 Tour de France, Velo­rama, a a spe­cially- com­mis­sioned new fea­ture-length doc­u­men­tary di­rected by award-win­ning film­maker Daisy Asquith and A Day Out, fea­tur­ing Halifax cy­cling club’s day trip to the ru­ins of Foun­tains Abbey in 1911.
