BIKE­ABIL­ITY SES­SION FOR YOUNG­STERS

Be­fore The Fan­tas­ti­cal Cy­cle Pa­rade in Tod­mor­den on Satur­day, April 26, West York­shire Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice along with Calderdale Coun­cil, will be hold­ing a free bike­abil­ity event on Cen­tre Vale Park, Tod­mor­den. Bike­abil­ity is ‘cy­cling pro­fi­ciency’ for the 21st century, de­signed to give the next gen­er­a­tion the skills and con­fi­dence to ride their bikes on to­day’s roads. There will be a pump track for chil­dren up to the age of 10 as well as an ob­sta­cle course. Tod­mor­den Fire Sta­tion fire­fight­ers will also be on hand to help with the fun, pro­mot­ing their char­ity bike ride to Bram­sche. The event will be­gin at 10am and run un­til noon. Chil­dren of all ages and abil­i­ties are wel­come to at­tend for free. Bal­ance bikes will be avail­able to try for chil­dren be­tween three and five years, older chil­dren will need to bring their own bikes.
