So­lic­i­tors’ help for lo­cal causes

Lo­cal le­gal spe­cial­ists, Ben­jamin Roberts So­lic­i­tors have been busy since the New Year ex­pand­ing its busi­ness and sup­port­ing lo­cal causes, choos­ing Over­gate Hospice as their 2014 sup­ported char­ity. Prin­ci­pal so­lic­i­tor Gra­ham Roberts says: “Ben­jamin Roberts has al­ways felt a part of the lo­cal com­mu­nity, there­fore we are proud to as­sist Over­gate Hospice in any way we can.” Six run­ners from Ben­jamin Roberts So­lic­i­tors took part in the Over­gate Hospice 5km run on April 6. The race brought to­gether lo­cal res­i­dents and businesses to raise funds and aware­ness for this great cause. Re­cently the lo­cal firm ob­tained spe­cial dis­pen­sa­tion from the So­lic­i­tors’ Reg­u­la­tion Author­ity to take on three trainee so­lic­i­tors and three new mem­bers of staff in or­der to ac­com­mo­date a grow­ing clien­tele. As a re­sult it now sup­ports Pol­ish, Urdu, Pun­jabi and Hindi speak­ing clients. The com­pany be­lieves in­vest­ing in and nur­tur­ing young talent and hopes by do­ing so it can help se­cure the fu­ture of the lo­cal area. Al­though spe­cial­is­ing in per­sonal in­jury claims, the firm has ex­tended its op­er­a­tions to in­clude will writ­ing, es­tate plan­ning and pro­bate registry. The com­pany has ben­e­fited from a com­plete re­brand­ing in­clud­ing a new web­site which al­lows clients to start their claims on­line. Mar­ket­ing man­ager Sam­son Ko­vacs says: “The le­gal in­dus­try is fiercely com­pet­i­tive and it is no longer pos- sible to sus­tain com­pet­i­tive ad­van­tage by re­ly­ing on a good rep­u­ta­tion. We are now pe­rus­ing new meth­ods to com­mu­ni­cate with our clients, in­clud­ing LinkedIn, which helps us reach new busi­ness in a chang­ing le­gal en­vi­ron­ment.” The com­pany is look­ing to link with other Calderdale businesses in or­der to con­trib­ute to the area’s lo­cal econ­omy.
