Gillian Bolton welcomed diners to the all age lunch group at Lee Mount Baptist Church and said Grace. The menu was roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast and mashed potatoes, carrots and cabbage, followed by rhubarb crumble and custard, with tea, coffee and fruit juice - all for £2.50. The next lunch is on Thursday, July 2 from 12.15pm for 12.30pm start. A barbecue was held at the home of Alan Nanney, the worthy primo of the Ovenden Lodge of Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes, in memory of his late wife Brenda. The event was attended by members of the Ovenden Lodge, who meet at Lee Mount Social Club on Sunday mornings, the Lord of the Manor Lodge, who meet at the club on Tuesday evenings, and members of the TA Association. A good time was had by all.
