The pair were well re­ceived and warmly thanked for their talk and wished well for their as­pi­ra­tions in­clud­ing the creation of a parish coun­cil.

Con­ser­va­tive As­so­ci­a­tion

In mem­ory of fel­low mem­ber and rail en­thu­si­ast Brian Nixon, who died re­cently, Hal­i­fax Con­ser­va­tive 30 Sup­per Club mem­bers took to the tracks, trav­el­ling on the Howarth Had­dock on the KWVR. The evening pro­gressed with a dou­ble jour­ney from Ox­en­hope to Keigh­ley dur­ing which time the group dined. In ad­di­tion, there was time to en­joy mu­sic and danc­ing on the plat­form at Keigh­ley. Chair­man Rose­mary Pick­les made the ar­range­ments for this sum­mer evening ex­cur­sion and was thanked by all .
