Spe­cial event marks stu­dents’ suc­cess

Stu­dents were recog­nised for their suc­cess at a spe­cial cel­e­bra­tory event. Duke of Ed­in­burgh Awards were achieved at bronze, sil­ver and gold lev­els.

As part of the evening stu­dents gave in­for­ma­tive and, at times hum­bling ac­counts of the ex­pe­di­tions, vol­un­teer­ing and per­sonal jour­neys that they had been in­volved with in or­der to achieve their award.

Awards were pre­sented by spe­cial guests, Katrina Gar­diner, from the North of Eng­land Duke of Ed­in­burgh of­fice and Peter Hendy, the founder of CI Ad­ven­tures with whom the school works to de­liver the pro­gramme for pupils.

Mrs Mof­fat con­cluded the pro­ceed­ings by ac­knowl­edg- ing the hard work and ded­i­ca­tion nec­es­sary to achieve such awards and how proud she was of all the stu­dents who had demon­strated ex­cep­tional lead­er­ship.
