Pair’s dream comes true in Japan
A brother and sister who triumphed in a kickboxing tournament in Japan returned to thank those who helped them make the journey. Megan Golding, 15, and Alex Golding, 16, were the only two young British people to be chosen to compete in the international kickbox championship cup, but needed to raise £5,000 to go. The pair were £1,000 short of their target, but a fish and chip event held at the Gundog, Crown Street, Halifax,. meant they had enough money to realise their dream. Pictured are Megan and Alex with Mark Kosanovik, of Brackenbed Fisheries, who donated the fish and chips, and the Gundog’s Garry and Sharon Richardson.
