She ex­plained how the Red Sea parted and the peo­ple went through. For their ac­tiv­ity the older chil­dren en­joyed junk mod­el­ling. The younger chil­dren made a sticky pic­ture of sand, peo­ple and blew paint bub­bles to look like waves. Tod­dler Church is held ev­ery Tues­day morn­ing at 9.30am at St Matthew’s Church and wel­comes all chil­dren and their fam­i­lies. Tod­dler Church con­tin­ues through the school hol­i­days when older broth­ers and sis­ters are also in­vited. Northowram Sports & Ac­tiv­ity Club are host­ing a Folk Style evening with the band Carolina Code tonight (Fri­day, Au­gust 28) at the club. Ad­mis­sion is free and the event be­gins at 8pm. The money will be split be­tween Over­gate Hos­pice, For­get-Me-Not Chil­dren’s Hos­pice, Bri­tish Heart Foun­da­tion, St Matthew’s Church and St Matthew’s Moth­ers’ Union. The Northowram Tues­day Club will com­mence their Tues­day af­ter­noon meet­ings at Northowram Methodist Church on Tues­day, Septem­ber 1 at 2pm. Ev­ery­one welcome. The next ser­vice at Pep­per Hill Uni­tar­ian Chapel, Cross Lane, Shelf, is on Sun­day, Septem­ber 6. Lead­ing our wor­ship is our joint pas­tor from Skip­ton, Rev John Mid­g­ley. His theme is “Whose World Is It?” as usual the ser­vice will start at 10.45am and last for about one hour. Light re­fresh­ments will be served af­ter the ser­vice. If you have never been to our chapel be­fore it is worth com­ing if only to see what is re­garded as the finest Art Deco win­dows on the coun­try.
