Friends of Crow Wood Park held their fourth coffee morning which once again proved to be a success with many local people re-engaging with the park and remembering times spent there in the past. The judging for Yorkshire in Bloom took place recently with the group hoping to continue to receive recognition for their work as in the last couple of years. Although these awards have been in the Community Involvement category there have still been improvements in the floral displays in the park with the addition of raised beds, planters and pots in various places. Use of the petanque court, restored by the group, is increasing and anyone is welcome to play there providing they have their own boules. The next event will be held on Wednesday, September 16 at 10am. Why not come and see for yourself the things that have been done and if you have any old photos please bring them along to share with us. The group can be contacted on friendsofcrowwoodpark@
