Calder Val­ley set Happy Val­ley has re­turned to our screens this week. We asked our Face­book fol­low­ers if they’d be watch­ing - and this is what they had to say.

Dar­ren Swales: “Some of the film­ing is just up the road from my house, I can’t wait.”

Martin Mikalauskas: “Oh yes wouldn’t miss it.”

Laura Bick­er­ton: “Yes! Last se­ries was bril­liant and Sarah Lan­cashire is such a bril­liant ac­tress.”

Bev Bur­nell-Bradley: “Saw episode one of the new se­ries at the event at the Vic­to­ria Theatre last Fri­day evening... all I’ll say is OMG!”

Edyth O’Con­nor: “I loved the first se­ries, it was grip­ping real life drama from start to fin­ish. Sarah Lan­cashire was truly awe­some.”

Mau­reen Howlett : “Ab­so­lutely bril­liant drama and with me liv­ing away from Sowerby Bridge /Calderdale was great re­mem­ber­ing where places/ streets were filmed, was soooo proud to be from York­shire. Glad it’s back for a se­cond se­ries.”

Tracey Pegg: “Loved the first se­ries, let’s hope this one meets ex­pec­ta­tions!”

Dawn Pugh: “Re­ally en­joyed the first se­ries when it got aired in New Zealand. Just checked it out and yes the se­cond se­ries is go­ing to be broad­cast later in 2016. Can’t wait, but ob­vi­ously will have to wait longer than you folks. ( Ex­pat Hal­i­fax res­i­dent).”

Beryl Jen­nings: “Yes hope this new se­ries will be as good as the first one was.”

Susi Jen­nifer Hay­ward: “What is even bet­ter is that I watched the first se­ries when I lived in Lon­don and I now live in the Val­ley! Yay!”

Rose­mary Monro: “Re­ally en­joyed the show! Very be­liev­able.”

John Brook: “If we are lucky enough to see it in Aus­tralia. In the late six­ties I lived on Heath Hill Road Mount Ta­bor where the po­lice woman was at­tacked and killed in the last show.”

Cather­ine Owen: “Love that pro­gram just watched it all on Netflix on my Kin­dle, was sad when it ended.”

Mar­garet Dick­in­son: “Yes, Sarah Lan­cashire, bril­liant ac­tress been watch­ing her in Home is Where the Heart is when she was a lot younge. It’s about 20 years old she’s brill in that too.”

Gina Thomp­son: “Look­ing for­ward to it, I ad­mire the writer Sally Wain­right so much, and of course the won­der­ful Sarah Lan­cashire!!”

Anne Wil­liams: “Any­thing that Sarah Lan­cashire is in is al­ways re­ally good TV. Look­ing for­ward.”

Pa­tri­cia Hollinghurst: “Loved the last two se­ries. Also brings back fond mem­o­ries of Hal­i­fax, Sowerby and area.”

Mar­ian Fabian: “Sure will, bril­liant.”

Pamela War­ren: “Ab­so­lutely bril­liant se­ries. So pleased it’s back. Sarah Lan­cashire should have had a BAFTA, she was robbed!”

Irene Tol­son: “Yep watch­ing it now, en­joyed first se­ries.”

CarolandS­tu­art Cad­man: “Just watched it. Thought there was a lot of mum­bling and some­times couldn’t hear what they were say­ing. Loved it though.”
