Members enjoy landscape acrylic demonstration
Earlier this month a large audience at the Halifax Art Society watched the president Paul Talbot-Greaves painting a landscape in acrylic. He chose a scene above Oxenhope. Paul explained that you must use some medium with acrylics like Flow Improver or Matt Medium to increase the adhesion of the binder in the paint. Layer after layer the paint got thicker, until fields, road and a dry-stone wall came to life. The next demonstration open to the public is on March 3, when John Hassall will hold a workshop ‘Sticks & Stones’.
